Banana cake
With the bake sales at school I discovered the banana cake or banana bread which is not a commun cake in France. When I saw that it was a favourite for the kids, I decide to try some recipe.
After several search on the web, tried, adaptation... here is the one we prefer at home.
Ingredients:
-
1 ripe banana
-
2 and 1/2 cup of flour (300g)
-
1 cup of sugar (100g)
-
2 eggs
-
100g of butter (salted)
-
6g of baking powder
-
1 pinch of salt
-
some milk
Time to prepare: 20min
Baking: 30min

Preparation:
Preheat your oven (180 degrees).
Smash the banana with a fork. Add the butter (melted) and mix until it is smoothy.
Add the sugar, the flour and then the eggs. The mixture is quite compact (I use an electric mixer to make is easier) so pour some milk until the mixture has a better consistency.
Then add the salt and baking powder.
Por the mixture in a buttered mold.
Sometimes I put some banana slices on the top.
Put in the oven at 160 degrees for 30 min (test with a knife if it is enough or not).
